Expanded Move-Over Law Protects Motorists Stranded On the Side of the Road
Over a decade ago, New York implemented a “Move Over” law. It was designed to protect law enforcement officers and first responders from being accidentally struck by passing motorists as they were assisting disabled vehicles on the shoulder.
