One man was seriously injured in a double tractor-trailer crash with another vehicle on October 22. According to New York police, the collision that involved two tractor-trailers and a car occurred around 8:45 a.m. in the westbound lanes.

The police didn’t share other details, except that the accident blocked the traffic for miles. The injured driver was transported to Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo.

If you were involved in an accident, the first thing you should do is seek medical help. Even if you feel well, call 911 just in case. There may be other passengers in your vehicle or other vehicles who are injured. Don’t avoid the medical exam, since there may be internal injuries that aren’t visible at the moment. The medical exam will help you later if you decide to file for a compensation claim. Without it, the insurance company will not be interested to pay you the settlement. Their argument would be that your injuries resulted from some other injury (not the accident).

Once you got your medical exam or treatment, it’s time to consult with a personal injury or car accident attorney. This is important since your lawyer would do their work, while you recover. Having a skilled attorney by your side means having someone who knows how to guide you in the further process. You alone might educate yourself on how to file a claim, but it takes experience and skills to negotiate with the insurance company when they offer a low or deny the settlement.

If you need legal advice or help from car accident attorneys, the Cellino Law team is expecting you. We’ll review your case free of charge and help you file for a claim. Our mission is to help you get the much-deserved compensation.

  • Joe and I just wanted to send you this note thanking you for the professional way you handled our lawsuit. Your kindness was extremely appreciated in a very difficult time. When we found out the people that caused the accident had no insurance, we thought our chances of receiving any settlement was nonexistent. Once we met with you and released you were able to help us our minds were put at ease. Your aggressive manner of handling the case exceeded our expectations. Please feel free to use us as a reference. Thank you so much and best wishes,
