The police responded to what could have been a horrific scene in Buffalo this week. A man was walking on the sidewalk in the 1700 block of Bailey Avenue when the accident happened. It was about 1:20 in the afternoon on Saturday, August 29.

A man driving his vehicle in the Southbound lanes of Bailey Avenue was cut off by another vehicle unexpectedly. When the car drove in front of him, the driver swerved to try to avoid hitting the other vehicle. When he did this, he lost control of his vehicle.

After swerving to avoid an accident, the driver actually went up on the sidewalk and crashed into a building in the 1700 block of Bailey Avenue. At the time, a man was walking out front of the building. The vehicle ended up running the man over.

When the police arrived on the scene, they found the victim on the sidewalk outside the building. He was injured and was treated at the scene. The police indicated that the man did not go to the hospital. No specific update was given on his condition.

The police haven’t released the names of either the pedestrian or the driver. The car that cut off the driver took off and has not been identified. There was also no comment by the manager of the building that was damaged in the crash.

The police are still conducting their investigation. So far, no charges have been filed and the authorities do not believe any will need to be filed. However, the pedestrian will likely have a potential legal claim against the driver. They will have to wait until the investigation is completed.

  • Cellino Law was a great company to work with. From the beginning they came out and met with my uncle and myself and assured us that everything would be taken care of from beginning to end our lawyer state and constant contact with us to make sure that everything would go smoothly and it did. I would definitely recommend anybody to go to Cellino Law for whatever help they need. And specifically please ask for the lawyer that we had Mr. Alan Silverstein. He was amazing and his staff was always attentive. Please go with them for your next law needs.
