Several shooting incidents in New York were reported over the past two days. Five people were shot, one of whom did not survive, in three different incidents across the city on October 27 and 28, NYPD reported.

Marvin Carroway, a thirty-four-year-old man was shot in the head in the lobby of his building, in NYCHA’s Hughes Houses on Sutter Avenue near Mother Gaston Boulevard in Brownsville. The incident happened shortly after midnight, the police said.

A resident found his body and reported the incident, the police said.

The man was taken to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, where he was declared dead.

About 10 p.m. on Tuesday, sixteen-year-old Amir Patterson was fatally shot on Kingsborough Third Walk near Michael Griffith Street, the police informed. The teenager was taken to Interfaith Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

The police discovered three shell casings at the scene.

Sometimes before 9 p.m., two men (one eighteen-year-old and the other nineteen-year-old) were critically injured in a drive-by shooting on Findlay Avenue near East 167th Street in Morrisania following a dispute. The eighteen-year-old was shot in his chest and neck and the older teenager was shot in his jaw, the police reported.

EMS took both men to Lincoln Medical Center.

A twenty-year-old man was also shot once in his right hand and transported to the same hospital by private means.

The suspect drove off in a grey van after the shooting, police said.

Personal injuries of this type are dangerous and could easily end up fatally. Besides the immediate medical help, you should seek legal help. Being injured on purpose is a crime and you have the right to file a lawsuit and seek a compensation claim for your injuries and damages.

  • I am writing to let you know what an outstanding job George Gridelli did for me in my personal injury lawsuit. His professionalism and expertise were evident at our first metting and he and his paralegal Diane D'Andrea took care of me as if I was a friend and not merely a client. They both went above and beyond for me in so many ways that it would be too numerous to list and I am grateful to have had such an exemplary team represent me. When working with George and watching him in court he personified to me what a lawyer is supposed to be - an honest, extremely compentent man who helped guide me through the legal system. I could not have obtained better representation anywhere else at any price. To me that says a lot abut you and your firm's integrity. Thank you again for representing me and for having such stellar individuals working for you! I will continue to recommend your firm.

  • I just want to let you know that I did receive my settlement check. More importantly, I want to thank you again for all you did for both me and my family. I could not be more pleased with my experience at Cellino Law. From the moment I first spoke with you I felt comfortable - you took a sincere interest in my case, clearly explained the process and effected a quick settlement. From this day forward, when someone asks if I can recommend a good lawyer I will, without hesitation, say "Cellino Law". Thanks again.

  • My wife and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for a fantastic job as our attorney. We could not have been more pleased with the work you and your team has done on this case. • This letter is to thank Ms. Diane D’Andrea, assistant to Mr. George Gridelli, Attny for all the hard work, dedication, and attentiveness she showed during the representation of my case. She was always cheerful and ready to help in whatever way she could. All messages left for Mr. Gridelli were always relayed and Mr. Gridelli always promptly returned our calls. She was a very competent assistant. Cellino Law has proven to be a model of what legal representation should be. Throughout the 6 ½ years of this case, I have heard many horror stories from people with “bad lawyer stories.” We consider ourselves to be very lucky to have chosen Cellino Law and will always recommend you to those looking for good, honest representation with a personal touch.
