Several shooting incidents in New York were reported over the past two days. Five people were shot, one of whom did not survive, in three different incidents across the city on October 27 and 28, NYPD reported.

Marvin Carroway, a thirty-four-year-old man was shot in the head in the lobby of his building, in NYCHA’s Hughes Houses on Sutter Avenue near Mother Gaston Boulevard in Brownsville. The incident happened shortly after midnight, the police said.

A resident found his body and reported the incident, the police said.

The man was taken to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, where he was declared dead.

About 10 p.m. on Tuesday, sixteen-year-old Amir Patterson was fatally shot on Kingsborough Third Walk near Michael Griffith Street, the police informed. The teenager was taken to Interfaith Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

The police discovered three shell casings at the scene.

Sometimes before 9 p.m., two men (one eighteen-year-old and the other nineteen-year-old) were critically injured in a drive-by shooting on Findlay Avenue near East 167th Street in Morrisania following a dispute. The eighteen-year-old was shot in his chest and neck and the older teenager was shot in his jaw, the police reported.

EMS took both men to Lincoln Medical Center.

A twenty-year-old man was also shot once in his right hand and transported to the same hospital by private means.

The suspect drove off in a grey van after the shooting, police said.

Personal injuries of this type are dangerous and could easily end up fatally. Besides the immediate medical help, you should seek legal help. Being injured on purpose is a crime and you have the right to file a lawsuit and seek a compensation claim for your injuries and damages.

  • I really just wanted to say thank you so much for taking my case, answering all my questions, and mostly for being very patient with me. I feel that without you and Roza I would not have been able to get anything at all. I hope to never need a lawyer again, but if I do I will definitely want you both working for me. Again thank your for you hard work, time and patience.
