Frank Molfetta

Frank grew up on Long Island, the son of a union electrician and a stay-at-home mom who later became an elementary school teacher. Frank’s parents instilled in him a strong sense of fairness and a strong work ethic. From the young age of eight, Frank knew he wanted to become a lawyer because he had always been passionate about justice.

He continued to pursue that interest throughout his education, majoring in political science and minoring in English at the University of Delaware. His studies helped him develop valuable writing skills that continue to serve him well in his legal practice. After earning his bachelor’s degree, Frank took a year off from school before returning to New York to attend St. John’s University School of Law.

During law school, Frank earned a position on the St. John’s Law Review, one of the most prestigious honors available to a law student. After graduating into a challenging job market, Frank joined a large regional firm, where he represented insurance carriers in reinsurance coverage disputes.

For 12 of the next 14 years, Frank represented insurance carriers, including six years working in-house for multiple carriers. This experience gave him valuable insight into how insurance companies operate, how they evaluate cases, and the strategies that can be used to maximize the value of a claim. Today, that experience helps Frank pursue strong recoveries for his injured clients.

In addition to his work for insurance carriers, Frank spent two years as a legal recruiter. He worked for two recruiting agencies, helping place attorneys with firms of all sizes and across a wide range of practice areas. This experience strengthened Frank’s interpersonal and communication skills, which help him work effectively with insurance adjusters and defense counsel while advocating for his clients.

Despite his years of experience, Frank ultimately found representing insurance carriers and helping others advance their careers unfulfilling. When the opportunity arose to begin representing injured plaintiffs, he made the switch. Frank has never been more satisfied in his career than he is helping injured clients pursue justice, and he has no plans to return to the insurance carrier side. His only regret is that he did not make the change sooner.

Frank lives in downtown Newark, New Jersey, with his two cats, Angelo and Bando. In his free time, when the weather is warm enough, Frank can often be found on the golf course working to improve his game. When the weather cools, he enjoys attending New York Giants football games and St. John’s basketball games, for both of which he holds season tickets.

Frank is a particularly devoted fan of the Johnnies and has held season tickets for a decade. He regularly travels around the country, and occasionally the world, to watch St. John’s play alongside a community of friends he has met through their shared love of the team.
