A motorcyclist was killed in an accident that occurred in the early morning hours on Tuesday. The accident happened on Interstate 290 in the Town of Tonawanda.
Authorities responded to Interstate 290 east, near the Colvin Boulevard exit, after they got a report of an injured motorcycle rider after he got hit by a car at about 3:35 a.m.
Forty-seven-year-old John A. Serrano from North Tonawanda was traveling eastbound on Interstate 290 when his motorcycle left the pavement and he was forced onto the middle lane of traffic.
According to the police, Serrano was hit by several vehicles while lying on the road and sustained fatal injuries at the scene.
The accident is investigated by the Town of Tonawanda Police Department. Drivers of the other vehicles that became involved in the accident are cooperating with the police. None of the drivers had any injuries and the police say there won’t be any charges against them.
The police ask anyone with information about this incident to call the Town of Tonawanda Police Department at (716) 879-6614, or their confidential tip line: (716) 879-6606.
Motorcyclists are exposed to a high risk of fatal injuries due to the fact that they don’t have any protection (besides the helmets).
Even if they’re careful drivers, sometimes all it takes is a little distraction, unadjusted speed, or road bump, for such accidents to occur.

Cellino Law is an amazing firm with a great team. I worked with Greg Pajak and his assistant, Tracey Falconer. I cannot express enough how dedicated they are. The personal attention I received was excellent; they were always available to help with questions and concerns and put me at ease in the unknown territory I found myself in. I highly recommend them to anyone needing representation. A huge thank you to them for all they accomplished for me!
I am writing this letter to say how much I appreciate your services pertaining to my case. Your injury attorney took a hands-on approach and left me fully informed at all times as to where my case was going as well as how much ground we had to cover; leaving the final decisions in my hands but making sure that I knew all of the risks involved in the choices. I have dealt with a few law firms in my life on various different cases and this is the first time that I never had to call and/or track down my lawyer… because of this, I have and will continue to recommend Cellino Law to my friends and associates.
I just want to let you know that I did receive my settlement check. More importantly, I want to thank you again for all you did for both me and my family. I could not be more pleased with my experience at Cellino Law. From the moment I first spoke with you I felt comfortable - you took a sincere interest in my case, clearly explained the process and effected a quick settlement. From this day forward, when someone asks if I can recommend a good lawyer I will, without hesitation, say "Cellino Law". Thanks again.
Thank you for your efforts on my behalf. I am very pleased (and surprised) at the amount of the settlement. We will use the funds to help pay down the debt on the truck we had to purchase after ours was totaled. Thank you again.
Now that reality has set in, I want to thank you for all your work and assistance in obtaining my settlement for the pelvic mesh. This money will make my life so much easier in the future. Medicare just isn't sufficient. I know that I will have enough to live on. I truly appreciate of your efforts. Thank you!
I can only say great things about my attorney Allan Silverstein. He is professional, he calls back right away, he keeps me informed, and makes me feel comfortable as this entire ordeal is stressful. I have total confidence in his ability to handle whatever comes his way. He is no nonsense and very good at his job. Thank you Allan... he is a true asset to the team!
