The father of Nicki Minaj was killed in a hit-and-run accident that happened in New York, the police confirmed.

The rap star’s father, sixty-four-year-old Robert Maraj was walking along a road in Long Island on Friday evening, February 12, when he was hit by a car. The driver drove away from the scene. Maraj was taken to a hospital but died from his injuries on Sunday.

The police are now asking any witnesses of the accident to come forward for the investigation.

A hit-and-run accident that involves pedestrians is devastating. There is no liable party for the family to file a lawsuit against. Things are complex and even more devastating if the victim dies from their injuries.

Pedestrian accidents are very dangerous because the person has no protection as a driver in a car or a truck would have.

Fleeing the scene is a crime and if the police catch the driver they will be charged with additional charges for not staying and helping the person they hit.

Being injured in such an accident can dramatically change your life. Your injuries may be severe (spine injury, traumatic brain injury, fractures) that would require a long stay at the hospital, surgeries, medications and wheelchair.

Covering the medical bills for this may be a challenge for your budget. It’s important to contact a car accident attorney who will help you get your much-deserved compensation claim.

Trying to get the settlement by yourself may be a complex process. Many people don’t know how insurance companies work (offering low settlements or denying them completely). Your attorney will be of great help in this process.

Our team of attorneys has skills, knowledge and history in such cases. We’re here to help you get your claim; contact our office and schedule your consultation with a New York car accident attorney.

  • I really just wanted to say thank you so much for taking my case, answering all my questions, and mostly for being very patient with me. I feel that without you and Roza I would not have been able to get anything at all. I hope to never need a lawyer again, but if I do I will definitely want you both working for me. Again thank your for you hard work, time and patience.
