Two people were injured in a severe Long Island accident involving an ambulance vehicle on Friday, April 2. The Nassau County Police responded to the accident scene of multiple vehicles on Old Country Road and Zeckendorf Boulevard in Westbury sometime before 2 p.m.
According to the police report, the ambulance was traveling east on Old Country Road and was going to a medical emergency with its lights and sirens on. At that moment a black SUV directly crashed with the ambulance, spinning it around. Both vehicles then crashed a third vehicle.
The woman that was operating the third vehicle is well and didn’t ask for medical attention. The ambulance driver was taken to a hospital in a stable state. The SUV driver was seriously injured, but was in a stable condition and taken to a hospital.
Multiple vehicle accidents are complex and if you were involved and injured in such an accident, you might want to hire a car accident attorney as soon as possible. Many people worry that they might have somehow contributed to the accident and admit guilt right ahead. If you find yourself in such a situation, make sure not to say anything that could be used against you. Any phrase could be used against you and can affect the compensation claim (in case you decide to file for one).
The insurance company will try their best to find a way to deny the claim or offer a low amount that might not be enough to cover your medical bills, lost wages and other fees you had related to the accident. Cellino Law is here to help you go through this process and get your much-deserved compensation claim. Contact our office and schedule your first free consultation with a New York car accident lawyer.
