One person was injured in a northern Manhattan construction site accident that happened on Monday, March 1. The accident happened after a construction fence fell onto a sidewalk.

According to the city’s Department of Buildings, the six-story building on West 144th Street in Hamilton Heights is being repaired after the 2017 fire.

The investigators believe the wind tumbled the fence onto the sidewalk.

Construction sites are dangerous and risky places, not only for construction workers but also for people and vehicles who pass near the object.

A construction site object should be well secured with fences and warning signs. But, no matter how well the site could still be risky. If you get injured in a construction site accident, and you aren’t a worker, you should immediately get medical help and contact a personal injury attorney who has experience in such cases.

You have the right to file a compensation claim and seek a settlement to cover your injuries.

No matter how severe the injury is, you should seek a claim. It’s best to have an accident attorney by your side since the insurance company that covers the construction company will look for ways to blame you. they may argue that you weren’t careful enough, and will try to offer a lower settlement.

No matter their arguments, you shouldn’t give up and accept the first offer. Usually, such injuries are never minor, nor should be underestimated. Even if you feel well after the accident, don’t avoid getting a medical examination. Often, the injury may manifest after a few days.

Our team at Cellino Law is here to review your case and help you get a claim for your damages and injuries.

  • I really just wanted to say thank you so much for taking my case, answering all my questions, and mostly for being very patient with me. I feel that without you and Roza I would not have been able to get anything at all. I hope to never need a lawyer again, but if I do I will definitely want you both working for me. Again thank your for you hard work, time and patience.

  • I can only say great things about my attorney Allan Silverstein. He is professional, he calls back right away, he keeps me informed, and makes me feel comfortable as this entire ordeal is stressful.
